NORWAY — The public is invited to celebrate National Cancer Survivors Day with a garden party at Kings Hill Inn & Barn in South Paris, Sunday, June 2.
It’s the inaugural offsite National Cancer Survivor Day event outside the center, said Mallory Brooke Cash, CRCofWM board member and event chair
The event begins at 1 p.m. All festivities are free and kick off with a Survivor Luncheon (for survivors and one guest); the event is hosted by Cancer Resource Center of Maine.
After the luncheon, survivors, friends, donors and supporters are invited to mingle and enjoy cocktails and hors d’oevres. T
he afternoon’s programming from 2:30 to 5 p.m. includes several guest speakers as well as CRC Director Diane Madden, who will address what the future holds for the center.

“We are appreciative and excited to have some Maine’s premiere vendors giving back with their time and services in our celebration of survivorship, Cash said. “The event would not be possible without King’s Hill Inn & Barn, Affordable Events, Blue Elephant Events & Catering, The Bar Association and Lone Pine Brewery.”
In addition, survivors have personally crafted the centerpieces, and will prove to be a moving and sentimental piece to the event.
The mission of the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine is to ensure that no one faces cancer alone. Anyone living with a history of cancer — from the moment of diagnosis through the remainder of life — is a cancer survivor according to the National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation.
