Spring Comedy Showcase brings four comedians to Franco Center

LEWISTON — Four of Maine’s funniest up-and-coming comedians will perform a night of stand-up comedy 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at The Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St.; the doors and the bar will open at 6:30 p.m.

Lewiston comedian Dawn Hartill hosts the center’s Spring Comedy Showcase with a night of stand-up comedy featuring Adam Hatch, Tuck Tucker and Sam Pelletier.
Hartill is the 2016 winner of the Strand Cup Comedy Competition and was a finalist in The Last Comic Laughing Competition. She works for a local bank and also works for Maine’s Big Z.
Hatch has brought his stories to the stage for the last 13 years in New England and most recently Las Vegas. He has opened up for acts such as Michael Winslow and Eddie Brill; he is also a regular on the Bob Marley Comedy Tour.
Tucker has been a Maine-based comic for the last 15 years, and performs all over New England with the improv group Running with Scissors and the improv-based comedy show ComedySportz Maine.
Pelletier hosts a twice-weekly comedy showcase at House of Bacon in Auburn, and has performed in What a Joke Comedy Festival, Portland Comedy Festival and Green Mountain Comedy Festival. He is a winner in the Bernie Sanders Sound Off Impersonation Contest. Pelletier is a self-described “jaded former activist with an addictive personality and a chip on his shoulder.”
Tickets are $10 and can be bought at the door; in advance at 207-689-2000 or at FrancoCenter.org. Box office hours are from noon to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Gendron Franco Center is handicapped accessible and located at Cedar and Oxford streets, just across the Bernard Lown Peace Bridge from New Auburn.
