AUBURN — A year of successful community events to commemorate Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice’s 50 years of providing quality care will draw to a close on when the Fortin Group hosts the final anniversary celebration. The event will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, at the Fortin Group, 217 Turner St. and is open to the public. 
Businesses across AHCH’s service area have been inviting the public to participate in various events throughout the year to recognize the contributions that AHCH has made in 124 different communities since 1966. Larry Roy of Dad’s Place in Mechanic Falls will cater the event, for which there is no cost to attend.
“The Fortin Group has long been impressed with the caring and compassionate staff at AHCH and the critical services it provides to the community,” said Fortin Group Funeral Director Kevin Simoneau. “We invite the public to join us as we thank AHCH for its commitment and for achieving this significant milestone. We hope that patients, former patients, their families and members of the AHCH team can join in the celebration.”
