AUBURN – The Woman’s Literary Union of Androscoggin County is accepting new or cleaned prom gowns for its fourth annual Fairy Godmother Prom Gown Giveaway. Gowns and accessories may be dropped off at the following locations:
* Top It Frozen Yogurt or Maine Gourmet Chocolates, 168-170 Main St., Auburn;
* University of Southern Maine’s L-A College, Student Success Center, 51 Westminster St., Lewiston, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.;
* 4-Seasons Farm Market, 9 Third St., New Auburn;
* Turner Publishing, 5 Fern St. (corner of Route. 4), Turner, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; and
* The Beauty Bar and Spa, 36 Millet Drive, Auburn.
The prom gown giveaway will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 1. No appointment is needed because numbers will be given at the door. There will be makeup and hair demonstrations, along with shoes and prom jewelry to choose from while girls wait for their turn to find a gown. Email camashaw@myfairpoint.net if you have questions.
