Maine IF&W hosts kids fishing derby at Range Pond in Poland March 2

AUGUSTA — The state Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife is hosted a Kids Fishing Day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Range Pond State Park in Poland.

There will be a special park reduced entry fee of $1.50 for for those aged 12 to 62 — those older and younger enter for free. There will also be free ice fishing traps for the first 200 pre-registered children ages 12 and under who arrive before 10 a.m., and for the first 50 Special Olympic entrants, compliments of Kittery Trading Post. Highlights are:
* 300 Trout stocked for the Derby
* Drilled holes and free bait for Kids
* Door Prizes
* Also enjoy cross-country ski trails
