GREENE — Local singer-songwriter Stan Davis will join story time volunteer Sandra Fowler to lend a musical note to Morse Library’s regular weekly Story Time session on Saturday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m.
Since retiring as the long-time guidance counselor at Sydney Elementary School, Davis has enjoyed the opportunity to spend more time with his young grandchildren and to perform frequently at such area venues as Sulley’s in Winthrop, The Emporium in Readfield, the summer “Music at the Gazebo” series in Turner, and the weekly Farmer’s Market in Wayne. As a performer, Davis is equally at home performing acoustic versions of his own songs and a large repertoire of folk and Americana standards for both adults and children.
Saturday Story Times are best for children ages 2 to 6 and their adult caregivers, but older and younger siblings are welcome, too. The event is free and open to all.
