Musicians invited to audition for Kennebec Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra

AUGUSTA — Middle and high school student musicians looking for a new musical challenge such as playing in a full symphony orchestra with other committed young musicians, are encouraged to audition for the Kennebec Valley Youth Symphony orchestra.

Auditions are Tuesdays Feb. 12 and 19, at the University of Maine at Augusta.
The KVYS is modeled on professional orchestras, playing a wide variety of original orchestral compositions, including full concertos in both the fall and spring programs. and is conducted by Jinwook Park, who performs, directs and teaches in Boston and at Colby College.
