Auburn’s Winter Festival gets underway Friday

AUBURN – Auburn’s Winter Festival will begin Friday, Jan. 25, and run all weekend long
Spotlight events include Friday’s “Family Fun Night at the Mountain,” where Lost Valley, 200 Lost Valley Road, will host various activities for the whole family. A torchlight parade and fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m.

A kids activity zone will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in downtown Auburn at Festival Plaza on Main Street, where there will be a snow mountain, fire pits for S’mores, petting zoo, kid’s band and more.
“Roopers Party Tent” featuring the Gritty’s Ice Bar and L/A Harley Stage will take place from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, combining music and beverages at Festival Plaza. The Roopers Tent will be 21+; tickets will be sold in advance with a cash bar; music provided by the Farm House Project and L/A Harley Band.
The United New Auburn Association will host a family sledding and skating event at Sherwood Heights School, 32 Sherwood Drive, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.; St. Dom’s Winter Carnival and open house will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at St. Dominic Academy, 121 Gracelawn Road. Baxter Outdoors Packed Powder Series at Lost Valley Ski Area will feature a solo 5K snowshoe, solo 10K duathlon, or team 10K duathlon starting at 9 a.m.
