SOUTH PARIS — Summer and fall registration at University College at Norway/South Paris opens March 13 for students seeking degrees, and March 20 for others.
Summer sessions include Session I, May 22- July 7; Session II, July 10-Aug. 25; and Session III, May 22-Aug. 25.
The seven-week sessions “allow students to condense course work into shorter periods of time while the full summer session spreads the course work over the summer,” Lisa Cooper, college director, said in a news release.
She said those taking courses at the college, located at 232 Main St., have access to more than 600 courses available in summer from all seven campuses of the University of Maine System through “all teaching modalities of face-to-face, interactive television, video conference and online instruction.”
Cooper said that students from other colleges who are working or vacationing in Maine can take classes at the college for college credit.
Students can also register for the fall semester, which begins Aug. 28, after the March registration dates. The fall schedule includes more than 1,100 courses from the University of Maine System.
Students do not have to be in a degree program in order to take classes, Cooper said. Free academic advising appointments for new and returning students are available by calling the college at 743-9322. For more information, go to learn.maine.edu/southparis.
