LEWISTON — New Ventures Maine will offer free workshops and classes designed to help participants reach money goals with their current income, or land a new job that offers better income.
“First Impressions Matter: Resume and Interview Preparation,” a workshop for people who are ready to create or update a solid resume and learn about what makes a solid candidate during the interview process, will be offered several times at various locations. The first session is 9 to 11:30 a.m Thursday, Jan. 24, at Lewiston’s Career Center. Current tools, resources, and guidance to write an effective resume and prepare you for a successful interview will be offered.
“Your Money Personality” is a workshop that uses a card-sort activity to identify personal money style, helping participants to know how habits and attitudes towards money affect decisions and actions. The workshop is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at Lewiston’s Adult Education office.

New Ventures Maine helps people find success in their jobs, businesses, and communities through tuition-free classes and workshops and one-on-one coaching in building a career, starting a business and managing money.
