AUBURN — St. Dominic Academy will host the 2018 St. Dominic Academy Christmas Classic invitational hockey tournament from Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 28, at the Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.
Teams in the tournament besides St. Dominic will be Edward Little High School, Lewiston High School, Bangor High School, and Smithfield High School, of Smithfield, R.I.; Notre Dame Fairfield, of Fairfield, Conn.; Bishop Brady High School, of Concord, N.H.; St. Thomas Aquinas High School, of Dover, N.H.; Medway High School, of Medway, Mass.
Steve Ouellette, tournament director, said, “The goal of the St. Dominic Academy Christmas Classic is to provide a high caliber and unique hockey experience to our student athletes. It showcases the proud tradition of St. Dom’s hockey and we look forward, along with our sponsors and hotel partners, to hosting one of the best high school hockey tournaments in the Northeast. This is a great example of the benefit of having such a facility as the Norway Savings Bank Arena in our local reach and the impact that it has on our community.
The championship will be at noon, Friday, Dec. 28.
