NORWAY — Santa had more than 100 helpers when it came time to light the Norway Christmas trees at Butters Memorial Park to kick off the holiday season on Dec. 7.
Even more people greeted Santa at the Norway Fire Station after the tree lighting and enjoyed refreshments provided by the Norway Firemen’s Relief Association.
Those who helped make it happen included Fire Chief Dennis Yates; Sheldon and Dalton Rice of Rice Tree Service; Steve McAllister, highway employee and president of the Firemen’s Relief Association; and volunteer Tom Binnette. Help included stringing the lights in Butters Memorial Park before the tree lighting.
