Viles Aboretum Maine Table Tour set for Feb. 3

AUGUSTA — The annual Viles Arboretum Table Tour will begin at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 3.
More than 200 participants gathered on the Arboretum grounds last year for the pre-Super Bowl snowshoe, ski and hike, while sampling food from area restaurants and food providers.

Food ranges from hearty chowder to fresh baked bread, barbecue, Mexican and steaming hot turkey with all the fixings. There’s also a dessert table and a cup of freshly brewed coffee or other beverage at the finish.
“This is the only event of its kind that I know of,” said Mark DesMeules, the Arboretums’ executive director. “It offers a healthy and fun opportunity to meet people, get outdoors, enjoy some terrific food and support the many new programs and initiatives being developed at the Arboretum.:
