“On the Spot Comedy” Friday, March 3, at Franco Center

LEWISTON — What do people get when they combine the improvisation style of the television show “Whose Line Is It, Anyway?” with a Maine-based comedy troupe that loves the art of improvisation? They get Mainely Improv “On-the-Spot Comedy,” a professional troupe entertaining audiences since 1995.

The group specializes in making up comic situations entirely from suggestions made by the audience. The next performance takes place Friday, March 3 at 7:30 p.m., with a return visit to L/A’s Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar Street, Lewiston. Doors open at 6:30, and the beverage bar in Heritage Hall will be open throughout the evening.

“Every show is different and we have no idea what will happen,” said the troupe’s leader, Dan Marois. “Join us for an evening of fun, comedy and the unexpected.”

Regular box office hours are Monday through Friday, noon to 4 p.m. The Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center is handicapped accessible. The price of the ticket includes entertainment and on-site parking at the Continental Mill on Oxford Street.
