Dirigo Federal Credit Union donates to 17 area agencies to end hunger

AUBURN — Dirigo Federal Credit Union partnered with the Maine Credit Union League’s Campaign for Ending Hunger and donated $23,525 for the 2018 campaign.
All money raised was distributed to hunger organizations and food pantries in Androscoggin and Oxford counties on Nov. 15, when leaders from the local organizations were invited to the credit union to receive donations.

Checks ranging from $500 to $3,500 were given to 17 local agencies, including Rural Community Action Ministry, Trinity Jubilee Center, St. Martin de Porres, St. Mary’s Food Pantry, Poland Community Church Food Bank, Oxford Helping Hands Food Pantry, Hope Haven, New Beginnings, The Root Cellar, Mannafed, Seniors Plus and The Good Shepard Food Bank.
The credit union has branches in Auburn, Lewiston, Mechanic Falls and South Paris.
