Turner’s Bradley appointed to Wilkes President’s Student Advisory Council

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Joshua Bradley, of Turner, Maine, along with 17 other Wilkes University students, was appointed to the President’s Student Advisory Council for the academic year. President Patrick F. Leahy established the President’s Student Advisory Council in spring 2018 as a way to deepen his connection with Wilkes University students.

The group includes of sophomores, juniors and seniors who represent a wide variety of academic majors and co-curricular interests.
Bradley’s s other activities at Wilkes include being the president of Wilkes’ Political Society, the vice president of UNICEF, and the vice president of Sigma Alpha, as well as part of the homecoming team, a resident assistant, a tutor and a lead ambassador for admissions. Bradley is a political science and international studies major.
The President’s Student Advisory Council meets periodically during the semester to discuss happenings on campus, provide the president with feedback on new ideas, and learn about University-wide initiatives. Members are also invited to represent the student body at events hosted by the president’s office.
ome of the events and initiatives in which PSAC members have participated include the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania’s Student Aid Advocacy Day, the president’s end-of-the-year ice cream stand, and homecoming weekend.
