Belgrade Village Main Street roadwork underway

Reconstruction of Main Street in Belgrade from just south of West Road to the Mill Stream Dam began after Labor Day and will continue until winter weather makes it impossible to continue. It will pick up again in April. The project includes widening the road and adding sidewalks, pedestrian lighting and other elements. The Friends of Belgrade Village raised $725,000, some $300,000 of which was from a challenge matching grant from the Alfond Foundation, for the enhancements, which include brick sidewalks.
