FARMINGTON — Franklin Memorial Hospital is hosting its annual winter blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. Friday, March 3, in the Bass Room.
Currently the blood supply is low, which has resulted in a critical need for all blood types. According to the American Red Cross, someone in the U.S. needs blood every 2 seconds.
Potential donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health. There is no upper age limit and most medications and medical conditions do not prohibit someone from donating blood through the Red Cross. A positive ID is required.
To make an appointment, call the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
