Feb. 242017

FAYETTE — The first of two public hearings regarding Fayette’s future vote to enter into a partnership in the support and operation of the Readfield Transfer Station will be at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27; the second is scheduled for March 27, followed by the vote on April 3.

Following the closure of the public hearing, the Board of Selectmen will convene its regular meeting and take up approval of the special town meeting warrant scheduled for April 3. Voters are asked to decide whether or not to become a partner in the transfer station at this special town meeting. The board will then consider property tax abatement requests, minutes and accounts payable and payroll warrants, and then will enter into executive session regarding a legal matter.
