I was born in Waterville, raised in Skowhegan, went to college in Bangor and have worked throughout southern Maine. My experiences run from working as a waitress in Kennebunkport to an intellectual property paralegal (five years) and real estate paralegal (15 years) in Portland. Five years ago, I gave up my 9-to-5 job to start my own businesses, and with courage and conviction, I have run a successful wedding venue — Coolidge Family Farm in New Gloucester — and my mobile bar business — Maine Mixologists.
My husband Peter and I own and have restored several properties, including a three-unit apartment building in Portland, the new Coolidge Chapel in Gray, and three properties in New Gloucester. We’re no strangers to hard work, multi-tasking and determination when it comes to achieving our goals and dreams. We also have three little ones I’m thrilled to be able to stay home with during the week while working at my businesses on the weekends.
I have been a servant to the communities where I’ve lived and worked for the past 25 years. Currently, I donate time each week to the Good Shepherd Food Bank in Auburn, helping combat the state’s battle to feed the hungry. My devotion to Maine goes beyond simply loving community service; I was also fortunate to be crowned Mrs. Maine International 2018 this past spring and am honored to represent all married women in this state.
Serving the community and my neighbors is a true passion, and I hope to continue those efforts in Augusta by working for the residents of New Gloucester and a portion of Poland over the next two years as your state representative. Although I am a registered Democrat, I’ve always been an independent thinker, because I’ve always voted for whom I considered the right person and not only for the party.
I bring to the table life experiences, the courage to get things done, the friendliness to bring folks together, and the passion to make things happen. I want those in District #65 to know that, in voting for me, I will be working for them, will listen to them, and will fight for what’s good for this state and our community. A vote for me means change, and change is what we need most right now. Regardless of party affiliation, I hope you’ll consider doing what’s right and voting “Coolidge” when you step into the ballot box Tuesday, Nov. 6.
