WINTHROP — The Kennebec Land Trust Outing Cub will take a noontime hike at Howard Hill Historical Park on Thursday, Nov. 1.
The hike is open to the public an no registration is required.
Those participating should be aware that the trail system at Howard Hill is still under development. There are no signs or blazes and the footing is rough in some places.
The hike will begin in Hallowell at the Effie L. Berry Conservation Area at the former Stevens School campus on Winthrop Street.
To get to the trail head, from Winthrop Street in Hallowell, turn into the Stevens School complex. Go to the far north of the parking lot, on Coos Lane, which ends at a parking area west of the Cleveland Building. Look for the trail kiosk.
