Staying Home Alone: Designed by experienced educator and Red Cross Trainer Judy Emch, this course teaches 8- to 11-year-olds the fundamentals of staying home alone for short periods of time. Through puzzles, games and activities, students learn information they need to know in case a problem arises. Includes a take-home booklet and certificate of completion. Saturday, April 1, from 1 to 5 p.m., $30.
Babysitter Certification: For youths ages 12 and up. Become an informed and valuable childcare provider! Learn about developmental stages, bottle-feeding, diaper changing, safety and age-appropriate activities.Includes pediatric first aid, CPR and AED use. First aid topics include prevention, recognition and treatment for medical emergencies and injuries. Saturday, April 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $60.

Computer Classes: From keyboarding and computer basics to Microsoft applications and Google docs, we’ve got lots of flexible options from which to choose. Classes are offered on Wednesdays or Fridays from April 5 through June 9. $75/session.
Self-Defense Basics for Women: A one-night personal safety class for women aimed at increasing awareness and prevention as well as teaching basic self-defense techniques. Instructor Tony Bennett is the founder of Bennett Karate Dojo in Poland and has been studying karate for over 20 years. Ages 13 and up. Tuesday, April 4, 6 to 8 p.m., $20.
Medicare 101: Part A, Part B, C and D… Which one covers what? Know someone who is turning 65? This class is offered by a SeniorsPlus representative to help seniors make informed decisions. Thursday, April 6, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Free, but preregistration is required.
Social Security — Your Questions Answered: Know your Social Security options and the impact your decisions have on your retirement before you retire. Bring your questions as we discuss how Social Security fits into your retirement income plan, tax considerations and when you should start taking benefits. Thursday, April 13, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Free, but you must preregister.
