NORWAY — The Norway Public Library’s two glass case displays currently mark a cultural celebration and the library’s 80th anniversary.
The anniversary display features photos, artifacts and information on library history and will be up through December, which coincides with the December 1938 library opening at its current location. The other display, located just past the circulation desk, is in recognition of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
Monday, Sept. 15, is the anniversary of independence for several Latin American countries. National Hispanic Heritage Month celebrates the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America. The glass case display features artifacts from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, Spain and Cuba on display through the end of October.
