AUBURN — In honor of Auburn’s 150th Anniversary in 2019, Museum L-A is inviting community members to gather and share ideas on what aspects of Auburn history (from before the town was founded right up through today) should be highlighted. From important moments to landmarks, no topic is too big or too small.
Join Museum L-A for an informal talk at any of three free community events to come up with ideas. Museum staff members will lead the discussion and take notes for use in planning historic events in 2019. Anyone with a connection to Auburn is welcome.
Events will be held:
* Tuesday Sept. 25, 6 p.m., Rolly’s Diner, 87 Mill St.,with the United New Auburn Association.
* Wednesday Sept. 26, 11 a.m., Barker Mill Arms, 143 Mill St.
* Monday, Oct. 15, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.

Museum L-A is located in the Bates Mill Complex, 35 Canal St., in Lewiston. Its hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Special tour requests and large group tours outside of these hours are available by appointment.
