AUGUSTA — A five-week hospice volunteer training is being offered by MaineGeneral Alfond Center for Health.
The training prepares volunteers to provide practical, emotional and spiritual support to persons and their families living with a terminal illness.
The training will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, Oct. 1 through Oct. 31, at MaineGeneral Alfond Center for Health, 35 Medical Center Parkway.
The volunteer organization is seeking new members who are veterans.
