WATERVILLE — The Manchester Lions Club has funded the purchase of the first set of Prestan CPR mannequins for the Delta Ambulance education center.
The state-of-the-art mannequins are more lifelike in appearance and contain electronic sensors and indicator lights that provide the student and instructor with immediate feedback on measured depth and cadence of compressions and rescue breaths, a news release for the nonprofit emergency service said. The feedback contributes to a better, more effective learning experience for both health care professionals and community members. Mannequins are sized as adult, child and infant. Delta is in the process of updating all of their mannequins.
Delta Ambulance Education offers continuing education training to healthcare professionals, emergency services personnel and community members. Courses such as CPR, First Aid, Stop The Bleed, The Delta Ambulance Citizens Academy are offered addition to professional offerings.
