Lewiston Fire Department to hold 9/11 remembrance

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Fire Department will hold its annual 9/11 remembrance ceremony beginning at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at Central Station, 2 College St.

The remembrance will reflect upon what occurred at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa. on Sept. 11, 2001.
Chief Brian Stockdale will give a brief welcome followed by a moment of silence and symbolic bell ringing.
Speakers will include Mayor Shane Bouchard and Fire Department Chaplain John Robbins, who will recite “The Firefighter’s Prayer.”
Lewiston Fire Department members also will present a wreath donated by the Lewiston Firefighters Association.
The 9/11 gathering is open to the public.
