Kennebec Land Trust to offer plein air painting session Sept. 29

WINTHROP — Artist Penny Markley of the Kennebec Land Trust will lead participants in a plein-air painting workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at Sturtevant Farm Scenic Area in Fayette.

The event is part of Great Maine Outdoor Week.
Participants must bring supplies and register by calling the KLT office at 207-377-3848 or email KBrewer@tklt.org by Wednesday, Sept. 26. The cost is $8 for non-members, $5 for members.
Directions to the farm from the north: From Route 133 in East Livermore, turn left onto Haines Corner Road. Continue for 1.7 miles on this road until it turns into Bamford Hill Road. Continue straight on Bamford Hill Road. Turn left onto Baldwin Hill Road. The scenic area will be on the left.
Directions from the south: From Route 41 in Readfield, turn left onto Main Street and continue for 6.1 miles, following Route 17. Turn left onto Sanderson’s Corner Road and follow it for 0.1 miles until it turns into Fayette Corner Road. Turn right onto Baldwin Hill Road. The scenic area will be on the left.
