Monmouth Community Players to hold benefit costume gala, auction

Sep. 82018

MONMOUTH — The Monmouth Community Players are hosting a fundraiser costume gala and auction event on Friday, Oct. 26.
The event will be from 6 to 10 p.m. at Le Club Calumet in August”, and the theme is “La Boule Boheme,” a nod to next seasons musical “Rent,” by Jonathan Larson.

Those in attendance are invited, and encouraged, to dress up and take part in the evenings costume contest. Prizes will be awarded.
Le Club Calumet is a staple in the Augusta community, and is the perfect venue for this event, organizers said. It is spacious, centrally located and a large space for an evening full of fun and entertainment. The night will be filled with music, dancing, contests and more! There will also be a photo booth to capture memories, a silent auction as well as a live auction hosted by board member Dan Allard.
Many local businesses have donated to the auction, and there are items for everyone to bid on. Most auction items are being posted on MCP’s website, with photos for viewing. Some items will be available to the public for bidding via MCP’s facebook event, but most items will only be available to bid on at the event itself, through silent or live auction.
To view items, for more information, and for ticket prices and more, visit www.monmouthcommunityplayers.org. Tickets are also for sale at Quiet City books on Lisbon Street in Lewiston. Allproceeds from ticket sales and auction items will be used to support the Monmouth Community Players operating costs.
