March 19 concert to benefit Maine Country Music Hall of Fame

MECHANIC FALLS — Country Music Hall of Fame is presenting a country music show from 1 to 5 p.m. March 19, at the Silver Spur, 121 Lewiston St., to benefit the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame Museum.

Peter Allen and Hurricane Mountain will provide back-up music, and performers will be Ken and Jane Brooks, Joe and Nellie Kennedy, Buzzy and Kathy Vanadestine, DeeDee and Peter Allen, and Danny Taylor and Doug Mathieu.

The museum is located on the lower level of the Silver Spur and contains memorabilia of many Hall of Fame members, including Dick Curless, Lenny Breau, Lone Pine and Betty Cody, Gene and Flo Hooper, Ken and Simone MacKenzie, Bob Elston, Slim Andrews, Ken Brooks, Bing Crosby and many more. There is a total of 123 Hall of Fame members, 44 living and 79 deceased.
