Leeds Fire Department grateful for public support

Sep. 12018

LEEDS — Members of the Leeds Fire Department, who hold an annual fundraising barn sale and silent auction, said they are grateful for all the contributions received from the public, but have announced this is the last year they will hold the sale.

“We have had a wonderful time meeting folks from all over our mutual aid area, as well as the many visitors who have planned their vacation time and other events around the sale,” said one member. “Big items or small, new and nearly new, every single one of them made a difference.”
Auction and raffle items can be found at upcoming breakfasts, starting in Spring 2019.
Because of public support, the auxiliary volunteers were able to buy new turnout gear as well as sending five new firefighters through fire school this fall.
Upcoming events include a fall breakfast Oct. 6.
