AUBURN — There will be a motorcycle ride to raise awareness of suicide and its after effects Sunday, Aug. 26, with cyclists meeting at the Auburn Mall parking lot on Center Street from 8 to 10 a.m., leaving at 11 a.m.
The Pain to Power suicide awareness event will take riders on a mystery route, ending at approximately 12:30 p.m. at The BBQ Pit restaurant, 838 Lisbon St., Lewiston, for a post-ride pig roast, cornhole tournament, live music and more.
Hundreds of motorcycle bikers and people affected by suicide, coming together to increase Awareness of Suicide and its after effects, are expected to participate. Priot to the ride, coffee pastries will be available, and participants will be able to share stories of lost friends and family, turning their pain into power.
Event organizer Nick Danforth, who started the ride to help others suffering from the after effects of suicide, lost his father David to suicide in Aug 2015.
