West African drumming program to be held at Auburn library Aug. 6

AUBURN — Annegret Baier will present West African Rhythms and Songs at the Auburn Public Library on Monday, Aug. 6.
The performance will be from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Androscoggin Community room.

Baier plays a wide variety of percussion instruments, including djembe, conga, kpanlogo, kalimba, balaphone and more. Audiences are invited to participate in dancing, drumming, singing, and hand-clapping.
Admission is free to the interactive and educational presentation, which is for all ages.
