Sandy River Bluegrass Festival set for Aug. 11 in Starks

STARKS — Organizers Kendall Hanna and Marie Ring have announced Sandy River Outdoor Events will present its first Bluegrass Festival 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at the Sandy River Music Barn, 1005 New Sharon Road.

The festival will feature three Maine pbluegrass bands, Blistered Fingers, Back Woods Road and Wilf Clark and the Misty Mountaineers; Sandy Cormier will serve as master of ceremonies.
The rain or shine event will be staged under the big tent. Children 16 and under enter free with a paying adult. Gates open Saturday at 9 a.m.
For RV campers, gates will open Friday, Aug. 10, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. The fee to camp is $10 per night, and electric hookups are $10 for the weekend. Guests visiting campers are $10 per person per day.
