Brand-new Readfield Festival to be held Aug. 11

Jun. 262018

READFIELD — The inaugural Readfield Festival will take place Aug. 11, in tandem with the town’s already popular Heritage Days, for which fundraising takes place every other year.
Rather than go without a celebration this year, the concept for a Readfield Festival was born.

Activities range from a pancake breakfast at the Masonic Hall from 8 to 10 a.m., dunk bucket and food sales at the library from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a quilt auction and consignment sale at the Union Meeting house from 9 a.m. to – 2 p.m.
In addition, there will be music, games and activities for kids of all ages. This will be an opportunity to check out the trails, the beach, the ballfield and more during the day.
The entire day culminates in an improv comedy show at Giles Hall at 7 p.m.
The Readfield Festival is designed as a celebration of all the town has to offer.
