AUBURN — Parents, family members, and friends gathered with students at the premiere Early Childhood Education “Highlights Celebration” held recently in the new Education Lab at Central Maine Community College.
Students from the ECE program capstone courses displayed some of their work and explained the learning outcomes they had achieved.
Students in the online Infant Toddler Literacy course welcomed their case-study child to share in the celebration.
Special guest Sheriff Kevin Joyce of Cumberland County gave a presentation on the importance of investing in quality early care and education. Sheriff Joyce and other Maine police chiefs and prosecutors are involved with the national “Fight Crime – Invest in Kids” initiative.
