OQUOSSOC — The Rangeley Region Guides & Sportsmen’s Association will discuss the Maine Audubon annual loon count at its June meeting.
The meeting will follow a 5:30 p.m. potluck dinner on Thursday, June 21, at the clubhouse on Old Skiway Road.
Susan Gallo, who has been in charge of the Maine Audubon annual loon count for 20 of the 35 years the count has been conducted, will be the guest speaker.
Gallo will provide an overview of common loons in Maine and discuss ways participants can volunteer for the Rangeley Lakes loon count that will be a part of the statewide count scheduled for Saturday, July 21.
