RANGELEY — The Rangeley Region Guides and Sportsman’s Assoctiation Junior Guides Summer Program, for ages 9 through 12, is open for registration.
The program runs for six consecutive Mondays starting July 9 and meets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the RRG&SA clubhouse on Old Skiway Road in Oquossoc.
The program explores the habitat of native animals, experts mentor the group in the art of fly-tying and fly-casting, and canoe safety and basic archery instruction is provided. Map and compass skills are also covered.
Space is limited. Since each week’s activities build upon the previous week, preference is given to participants who are able to attend all six weeks of the program.
The program is free, but those participating must register by contacting Joyce Fay at 207-864-2651. For more information, visit www.rangeleyoutdoors.com
