RANGELEY — The 72nd annual Doll Carriage Parade will be held Tuesday, July 3, with the starting point on the lawn of the Rangeley Inn, 2443 Main St.
Registration will be from 9 to 9:30 a.m. Judging ends at 9:45 a.m., and although late entries will be allowed in the parade, they will not be judged. The parade will begin at 10 a.m.
The ending point of the parade will be the Rangeley Town Park. The categories will be Walkers, Bikes and Wheels, Carriages, Wagons, Groups and Child-Driven Battery-Operated Vehicles.
There will be a “Best Overall Prize” awarded. All entrants receive a free ice cream at Pine Tree Frosty, 2459 Main St. Flat beds, jeeps or any motorized vehicles are not allowed.
The focus is on making this the kid’s parade, as it was at its inception. Those wishing to display larger vehicles and floats should plan on contacting other parades as a venue.
