The Mechanic Falls, Minot and Poland Tri-Town Optimist Club has announced its May Regional School Unit 16 Student of the Month, Samra Nay. Nay, left, shown with club President Jeff Gagnon, is an adult education student working toward her high school diploma while working full-time running her own business. Her teacher describes her as a persistent, hard worker who is always smiling and optimistic, adding her attitude and strong work ethic make her a positive role model for everyone around her.
