LEWISTON — L/A Arts is in need of several volunteers in preparation for a busy summer season of events and exhibitions.
The organization is an all-volunteer, community-based organization that relies on the community.
Opportunities available include gallery attendants to greet visitors, assist with receptions and answer the telephone.
Attendants play a critical role in keeping the gallery open and accessible to the public. The role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people during busy times and perhaps catching up on a good book when things get slow. The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday.
Art Walk Guides provide support during the Final Friday Art Walks from May through October. Guides direct visitors to art venues in downtown Lewiston and Auburn, hand out fliers, take photos and support the needs of artists along the route.
