AUBURN — The Androscoggin Elder Abuse Task Force will be hosting its ninth annual Senior Resource Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park Ave. in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.
The event will offer a chance to learn about local resources and services while providing an opportunity to socialize with fellow seniors. The resource fair features a variety of speakers on topics including crimes against the elderly, financial safety and wellness, as well as information tables from local organizations working with seniors.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Andrew Robinson, District Attorney for District 3. The Senior Resource Fair is free and open to the public, but preregistration is required. The Androscoggin Elder Abuse Task Force is a community partnership dedicated to ending elder abuse, generating resources, educating the community, and advocating to meet the needs of elder abuse victims.
