LEWISTON — The LA Metro Chamber will present Working the Workforce Seminar: Boosting Skill-Attainment for Entry Level Workers from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at the Lewiston-Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, 415 Lisbon St.
Peter Weymouth, training and development coordinator for Northeast Technical Institute will lead the workshop. Boosting Skill-Attainment for Entry Level Workers focuses on the urgent need to take a long-term view of the employer’s role to enhance competitiveness by supporting middle level skills learning system for new hires. Attendees will learn about a successful high-velocity, high-impact training program that is currently qualifying workers for full time, high-demand employment.
