Short Folks for Hope to hold June 23 Folk Fair in Norway

NORWAY — Short Folks for Hope Foundation will host its second annual Folk Fair at Longley Square, Main Street, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 23.
The event is an arts and crafts fair with youth activities, demonstrations, music and raffles. Special guests include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle artist Steve Lavigne, Mr. Drew and His Animals Too, superheroes, Lagoona the Dutch Angel Dragon and more.

Admission is free, and proceeds benefit cancer support care charities including Short Folks For Hope, the Dempsey Center and Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine.
Through her own cancer journey, Kristen Short has met many “cancer warriors” and kind caregivers and supporters who inspired her and gave her hope. Short’s goal is to help others affected by cancer to inspire youth to spread hope and make a difference in their communities. In 2012, she founded Short Folks for Hope Foundation and she and her husband, Chris Short, and their three children have been active participants in the annual Dempsey Challenge, raising more than $40,000 with their team for the Dempsey Center.
