LIVERMORE — The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center is seeking exhibitors and vendors for its Strawberry Festival & Heritage Day.
The event is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 23. Historical socieites, crafters and artists may exhibit, demonstrate, and/or sell original artwork.
All items must be handmade and must not be mass-produced, store bought, re-sale or imported items. Historical societies and museums are also wanted to exhibit and/or demonstrate antiques, collections, or share educational materials. Norlands, which is a 19th century museum and working farm, is not seeking food vendors at this time.
Application fees range from $10-$25 and members of Norlands get an additional 20 percent discount on fees. The early bird rate deadline is May 18. Applications are subject to approval. Applications may be found on Norlands’ website at www.norlands.org/latest-news.html.
In addition to the craft fair, there are horse-drawn wagon rides, tours of the historic Washburn family mansion and farmer’s cottage, the one-room schoolhouse, special living history activities, craft activities for children, and homemade strawberry shortcake. All proceeds, including vendor application fees, directly benefit Norlands, a nonprofit organization, located at 290 Norlands Road.
