Auburn-Lewiston Sports Hall of Fame induction is May 6

LEWISTON — The Auburn-Lewiston Sports Hall of Fame will hold its 35th annual induction and awards banquet Sunday, May 6, at the Ramada Conference Center, 490 Pleasant St.
The banquet begins at noon with a social period, followed by a meal and awards.

This year’s inductees are for lifetime achievement, as well as winners of the President’s Award — given to coaches and student-athletes for recent outstanding accomplishments — the “Flashback to Fame” awards, the Pioneer Award and the Earl Austin Award.
This year’s Hall of Fame inductees for lifetime achievement will be William “James” Hood, Raymond Deblois, Carolyn Court and Peter Couture. The Pioneer Award will be presented to Mary B. Kendall; the Earl Austin Award to Michael Giroux; and the Flashback to Fame Award to the 1968 Lewiston High School State Hockey Champions. This year’s Chamber President’s Awards will go to the following coaches — Jamie Belleau, Mike McGraw, Mike Adams, Chris Cifelli, Brian Kay and Jennifer Brown — as well as to the following students — Taylor Chamberlain, Ryan Bossie, Stephanie Rodrigue, Maddie LeBlond, Grant Hartley, Alex Thompson, Piper Norcross, Tyler Morin, Grace McBride, Caroline Gastonguay, Hannah Trottier-Braun, Markella Gammaitoni, Marley Byrne, Lauren Lessard and Mary Caron.
The Auburn Lewiston Sports Hall of Fame is a community activity of the Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. Admission is by reservation only.
