Lithgow Library offers free photography workshops in May

AUGUSTA — In honor of National Photography Month, Lithgow Public Library will host three photography workshops.The workshops are free and open to the public.
The first two workshops are geared toward taking better photos with what participants already use, whether it’s a phone or digital camera. The third workshop teach about taking advantage of natural and designed lighting to take better photos.

Attendees should bring what they use for a camera. All workshops will have a limited class size, so those attending should sign up for the classes they are interested in by calling or stopping by the reference desk at the library, 45 Winthrop St.
It is not necessary to attend all three classes. All classes are at 6:30 p.m.
Classes are:
Wednesday, May 16: How to take better photos with your phone, led by Ray Sheely.
Wednesday, May 23: How to use your DSLR (digital single-lens reflex camera), led by Gary Smith.
Wednesday, May 30: Level up your photos with great lighting, by Leah Haraden. Members of the Capital Area Camera Club are donating their time to lead the workshops.
