FARMINGTON — The 5th annual Farmington Earth Day volunteer cleanup is scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 22, and will include help from some furry friends.
The public is welcome to take part in the volunteer effort to spring clean the town.
Meeting spot is Pierce House lawn, 204 Main St., next to the Post Office. Volunteers can show up any time between 1 and 3 and work as long as they want to get the town clean of litter.
Organizers encourage those participating to bring family members, classmates or co-workers and work as a group. Bags and gloves will be provided. Baby goats will be on hand for petting and as motivation “to do our part making a safe and healthy environment,” organizers said.
