OXFORD — Cub Scout Pack 130 will present a flowering crabtree to the town of Norway at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 19.
The tree was donated by the Paris Farmers Union and will be planted beside the town office near the police entrance.
The Scouts orchestrated the event as a chance to give back to the community and learn about trees, said Armand Deschene, pack outdoor committee chairman and den leader of Webelos Den 2 of the pack.
Webelos Den 2 will fulfill the requirement for their “into the woods” pin by planting the tree and caring for it. Pack 130 draws Scouts from Oxford, Norway, South Paris and Hebron.
