Franco Center to host third annual family-friendly Super Bowl party

LEWISTON — The Dolard and Priscilla Gendron Franco Center will host its third annual Super Bowl Party at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 5, at the center on the corner of Cedar and Oxford streets. All are welcome to come watch the Patriots take on the Falcons.

This is a family-friendly event with a cash bar, a delicious menu at the Clubhouse Cafe that includes hot wings, burgers and hotdogs, nachos, pizza and fries.

There will be a 50/50 drawing and other raffle prizes donated by several local businesses, including Baxter Brewing, Rainbow Bicycle, Dube’s Flower-Gift Shop, Roopers, Aaron’s and more. There will be fun activities for kids, and the thrill of watching as it all goes down on a 10-foot-tall screen.

Doors, bar and café will open at 4:30 p.m. for pregame “tailgate” munchies before or during the Super Bowl game between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons. There is no admission to get in; however, donations will be accepted. The event is sponsored by Federal Distributors and Roopers.

Aaron’s will be loaning sofas and easy chairs for the event, and guests of all ages are encouraged get comfortable by bringing a favorite chair (beanbag, folding chair, camp chair) and/or blankets; some guests are planning to wear Patriots Pajamas and other favorite wardrobe items. It is also encouraged to share decor and memorabilia.
